DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 2 (Two) (1) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Regulator No. 2" wall clock, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement in an oak case with painted metal dial, spade hands and subsidiary seconds, c1894. (2) Germany, wall hanging box clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring-driven movement in a dark oak case with white enamel dial, and blued steel spade hands.
CONDITION: (1) Oak veneered case has an alligatored finish and many veneer loses. Center of bottom bracket is missing. Original wavy glass on the door and bezel. Painted metal dial is flaking below the Seth Thomas name and has many areas where the white ground has been in-painted. Hands and pendulum appear to be correct. Comes with the correct weight, but the hook has broken off and the base cap is absent. The fundamentals are here for a restoration of the more cosmetic elements. (2) Case is in good condition with a small split below the dial. Enamel dial is fine, as are the hands. Brass pendulum bob has a nice patina. Pendulum rod looks old, but is a much lighter color. Dimensions are for Seth Thomas. Sold "as is".
